Do I need my landlord or building's permission to use Split Pay?
No. When using Split Pay through your resident portal, your landlord doesn't need to take any action or even know you're using the service. From their perspective, they're simply receiving a normal bank payment through their portal system.
What information do I need to provide to qualify for Split Pay?
You'll need to securely connect to your bank via Plaid to verify your monthly income and allow a soft credit check. There is no credit check and these verifications will not affect your credit score.
What if I pay my landlord directly and can’t use a portal?
You can still use Split Pay! We’ll text or email a link to your landlord who will need to enter their bank details and accept the first payment.
