No. When using Split Pay through your resident portal, your landlord doesn't need to take any action or even know you're using the service. From their perspective, they're simply receiving a normal bank payment through their portal system.
You'll need to securely connect to your bank via Plaid to verify your monthly income and allow a soft credit check. These verifications will not affect your credit score.
