No. When using Split Pay through your resident portal, your landlord doesn't need to take any action or even know you're using the service. From their perspective, they're simply receiving a normal bank payment through their portal system.
You'll need to securely connect to your bank via Plaid to verify your monthly income and financial history. There is no credit check and these verifications will not affect your credit score.
You can still use Split Pay! We’ll text or email a link to your landlord who will need to enter their bank details and accept the first payment.
