Reporting successful rent payments can impact your credit score anywhere from 20 to 100 points.Depending on your current credit profile, you may see an initial or gradual increase over time. If you’re using rent payments to improve your credit, it’s essential to maintain consistent, on-time payments.
Rent App reports every successful rent payment you make. Simply set up autopay and opt-in to credit reporting from your account — you can either do this the first time you schedule a payment or retroactively if you’ve already paid using Rent App. We'll handle the rest!
Enroll in autopay. Autopay allows you to schedule repeat payments, and your funds will stay untouched until the due date. Learn how to set up autopay here.
Opt-in to credit reporting. By opting in, you acknowledge that you have given Rent App permission to report your successful rent payments to the credit bureaus. You can do this in your Rent App account.
That’s it! Rent App will report all successful rent payments that utilize our autopay feature.
When making your first payment with Rent App, you complete a short verification survey, confirming and entering basic personally identifiable information (Full Name, DOB, SSN). We use this identity information to report your payment history to credit bureaus securely.
Rent App only reports successful payments. As long as you're paying via autopay and opted into credit reporting, any successful payment sent will be reported.

We report your successful auto payments immediately upon successfully clearing in a landlord’s bank account. Credit reporting begins once you’ve had three successful autopayments. Your first two payments are retroactively reported when your third autopayment clears.
